In playgroups Hercules received a muzzle prior to entering the yard due to his tense posture and growling at the dogs through the fence. Hercules was allowed into the yard, where he ignored the dogs, exhibiting a tense posture as he walked past them. He chose to stand next to the handlers, occasionally soliciting affection. For the rest of the session, Hercules remained next to the handlers, barking defensively at the dogs when they came into proximity. Once the session concluded, he was separated from the group to begin the handling assessment. No other dogs recommended.
During his handling However, handling of his tail and rear legs became difficult as he shielded them in a seated position while observing the handler with a concerned gaze. He displayed a slightly tense posture, with a tucked tail, ears slightly back, and a closed mouth. Once the session concluded, he was returned to his kennel without issue. Hercules could benefit from confidence-building training, as this may help him feel more comfortable with handling.
