Oso is currently designated as Rescue Only and is in urgent need of placement.
Oso has a mass located near his prepuce that has begun bleeding. Due to his behavior, staff are unable to safely place an e-collar to prevent him from interfering with the area. He has been started on oral antibiotics and pain medication in an effort to manage his condition and keep him comfortable while placement is sought.
If the bleeding increases, infection worsens, or his condition declines, humane euthanasia may be considered prior to the expiration of his notice period due to his medical needs and limited ability to safely manage his condition in the shelter environment.
A committed rescue placement is urgently needed.
