In playgroups She entered the yard, and greeted the other dogs with a tense body. She roamed the yard, keeping to herself as much as possible. She anxiously looked around for a way out of the yard before jumping on the table to avoid the other dogs. She was moved to the side yard with a small group of calm dogs, where she briefly greeted him before jumping on the bench to rest in the sun. She did not engage in play with the other dogs, but was able to coexist with a group of calm dogs with no issues. Xena is selective of the other dogs, has a low energy level, and does not have a play style at this time.
She greeted the handler with a neutral body, soft eyes, an open pant, and a neutral tail with a soft wag. She allowed the handler to pet her whole body with no issues. She remained easy to handle throughout the assessment, and continued to solicit petting once the assessment was over. No small dogs other large calm dogs OK.
